ELITE Paranormal of Kansas City investigated The Villisca Axe Murder House in Villisca, Iowa for the 2nd time in July of 2013. During this investigation we had the entire team present at the home. Since the house is so small we decided to set up our DVR system in the barn area and then run the cameras to the house. For this investigation we spent much of the evening sending the team in with different shifts and combinations of investigators in order to try and capture any activity.
During this investigation of the house, the atmosphere seemed to be very different that our previous investigation. The house itself did not seem as dark or have a heavy atmosphere to it as before. During the night, the house itself was very quiet and we did not have any outward signs of activity. We did have some shadow play, especially in the upstairs bedrooms but we were unable to capture any movement on film or video. We investigated the home for nearly 10 hours and we tried many experiments involving toys, names, the MEL-SB7 Spirit Box and Echovox. This time around we could just not seem to get a lot of activity going. We did have some unexplained EMF spikes which are common in this house even though there is no electricity. We had not hits on our shadow detectors which were in the attic. No doors were detected moving and we could not capture any unexplained footsteps.
We did capture quite a few EVPs in the house as well as a lot of chatter on the MEL-SB7 Spirit Box and Echovox although none of it pointed to anything relevant about the house or it’s history. This investigation is a good example of paranormal locations never being the same every night and paranormal activity never performs on demand.
