The Sallie House

In 2015, ELITE Paranormal of Kansas City along with Justin Spurrier from Spurrier Paranormal investigated the famous Sallie House in Atchison, Kansas. The haunted history of the Sallie House is well documented on television and print with shows like “Sightings” in the 1990s. This was the first time our organization investigated the location after all of these years.

Upon arrival we were given a tour by a couple of gentleman who explained to us the history of the house and some of the phenomenon that occurred there. For a short period of time Rob Garcia and Justin Spurrier were the only ones there and were setting up equipment when there were several loud booms in the upstairs bedrooms. Upon searching, nothing was found out of the ordinary up there.

We decided to use the dining room table as our base of operations and set cameras throughout the home as well as in the basement. We also live streamed a portion of the investigation through our web cams. Throughout the night we investigated the upstairs, main floor and the basement of the home. We also conducted ITC sessions in all parts of the house with limited success.

The investigation overall could only be summed up as “Quiet”. There were no strong signs of any paranormal activity in the house. Our audio was also very quiet with only a few interesting captures in the audio. Most of the audio we have is from the our ITC sessions and not from atmospheric EVPs. We did have some movement in the house while we had it locked up with our equipment running and no one was inside. We noticed nothing out of the ordinary in the basement and captured no signs of activity on any of our cameras.
