In 2009, ELITE Paranormal of Kansas City investigated the Rockcliffe Mansion in Hannibal, MO. This mansion is the old Cruikshank Mansion which sits high upon a cliff overlooking Hannibal. The home itself is very opulent and looks almost exactly as the home did in the early 20th century. Mr. Cruikshank died in his bed upstairs and when he did the entire family moved out of the home leaving all of the furniture in place. The mansion stood empty for 43 years.
This investigation was a personal one for Founding Member Rob Garcia. As a child he lived down the street and the grounds of the mansion were part of his childhood playground. The elementary school he attended is at the bottom of the cliff and one of the Cruikshank daughters still lived next door to the mansion. This investigation was one of love.
The home has reported paranormal activity but during our investigation we didn’t really notice any paranormal activity. We did however catch EVPs in the house and some were of children. This home is still high on our lists of locations and we would love to return some day.
