ELITE Paranormal of Kansas City investigated The Morse Mill Hotel in Morse Mill, Missouri. The Morse Mill Hotel is a 5300 square foot building which was built in the 1800’s by John Morse. The Hotel has been used as a Confederate Hospital, hotel, brothel, speakeasy, a post office and a halfway house.
The hotel also has the home of one of the first female serial killers in US history, Bertha Gifford. During it’s heyday, the Morse Mill Hotel was visited by many famous people like Al Capone, Charles Lindbergh, and Clara Bow.
The ELITE Paranormal of Kansas City team was joined by James and Susan Presnell of Kansas City Paranormal Studies on this investigation. While the location had a strong reputation for activity, we found the building to be almost quiet and sedate. No one really had any personal experiences to speak of while we were in the Hotel over 16 hours. It was raining quite heavily the entire time we were at the site.
Upon review of our evidence, we did find a lot of EVPs at the location. Too bad they decided to hide from us the entire time we were there.
